Parents, teachers and students can take part

SALEM: The education officials will conduct a hearing from parents, teachers and students at the Holy Cross Matriculation Higher Secondary School at 10 a.m. on November 25 on the State Government's move to bring uniformity in the syllabus of Standard I to X

At present, the schools are following different syllabus (State board, Matriculation and Anglo-Indian). Hence, the Government has set up a committee to study the present system and the proposed introduction of a common syllabus, a press release said.

The Chairman of the committee, member-secretary and members will attend the meeting. Interested headmasters, teachers, educationalists, parents and students can participate in the meeting and express their views on the common syllabus.

They can also submit their opinions in writing, the release said.
