Special medical camps would be conducted at the panchayat union-level for the differently abled people in the district in December.

According to a release from P. Senthilkumar, Collector, the first camp would be held at the collectorate on December 6. While the next would be conducted at Thirumanur Government Higher Secondary School on December 7, the other camps would be organised as follows: on December 11 — Senthurrai Government Higher Secondary School; December 14 — Aandimadam Government Higher Secondary School; December 27 — T. Pazhur Government Higher Secondary School; and December 28- Jayankondam Government Higher Secondary School.

Those who participated in the camps would get national identity card if they had not received it so far. The participants could register for employment, unemployment dole, monthly assistance, loan, patta transfer, addition and deletion of name in ration card, educational scholarship, tricycle, wheelchair, calipers, hearing aid, Braille watch, and dark glasses.

Participants are requested to come with their identify cards, copy of the ration card, and passport size photograph. All the important officials of the district and medical specialists would be present at these camps.
