: Cadre of Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK) observed fast at the headquarters of the central districts on Tuesday demanding total prohibition in the State.
A.Malarmannan, former MLA and Tiruchi urban district secretary, led the fast held at Chinthamani in the city. They urged the State government to introduce laws with immediate effect in the larger interest of the people. Cheran, in-charge, rural district unit, Dr. Rokaiya participated in the fast.

MDMK cadre staged a token fast in front of the Talk Office at Jawahar Bazar here on Tuesday demanding total prohibition in the State.
Led by district secretary Bharani Mani, more than 35 volunteers sat on fast seeking an end to the “vice that consumed several lives” and ruined numerous families.

MDMK cadre staged a fast demanding total prohibition in the State, marking Gandhi Jayanthi here on Tuesday.
The fast was led by Mohan, district secretary. Earlier, social activist and Magsasay award winner Krishnammal Jeganathan formally inaugurated the fast, and called for the continuation of the struggle until total prohibition was implemented in the State.
