Martyr’s day observed

To honour the sacrifice of 576 police and paramilitary personnel, including three from Tamil Nadu, killed in the line of duty across the country , the Martyrs’ Day was observed on Monday in Krishnagiri and Dharmapuri districts.

To mark this occasion, gun salutes were paid to the personnel who lost their lives for the cause of the nation.

In Dharmapuri district, R. Subramani, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Armed Reserve Police Force, placed a wreath on the Martyrs’ Memorial at the District Police Office complex. K. Radhakrishnan, Inspector of Police, Special Branch at the District Police Office, paid floral tributes at the memorial as mark of repect.

In Krishnagiri district, Martyr's day was observed jointly by various groups.

Superintendent of Police, S.R. Senthil Kumar, placed a wreath on the Martyrs’ Memorial at the District Sports Stadium.-Staff Reporter.
