A prank e-mail to the police and airport authorities has landed a 29-year-old man in trouble.

Peelamedu Police picked up Sajan Babu after they suspected that he had sent an e-mail to Coimbatore Airport Director D. Paul Manickam and City Police Commissioner A.K. Viswanathan claiming that he had spotted four persons wanted in connection with the murder of ‘Auditor’ Ramesh in Salem. The police found out that the sender had used a browsing centre near SITRA. Further investigations led the police to a person named Sajan Babu, who works as a waiter in a restaurant nearby. The police claimed that the man had no information about the suspects.
