METTUR: MALCO Limited, a unit in Vedanta Group, organised a three-day conference on power management called ‘Synergy’, which concluded here on its factory premises on Saturday.

The Vedanta group has been taking lead in power management through knowledge sharing and management with the prime objective of facilitating a conclave of power professionals and confluence of their individual professional experiences and expertise.

All executives of thermal power plants of Vedanta group from all over the country, namely BALCO (Chattishgarh) Hindustan Zinc (Udaipur-Rajasthan), Vedanta Aluminium (Jharsuguda-Orissa), Vedanta Aluminium (Langigarh-Orissa), MALCO (Mettur-Tamil Nadu) and experts from various fields connected with power generation all over India participated in the workshop, which discussed and deliberated on subjects including the power plant operational practices, energy conservation and effective waste management.

A website namely ’Vedanta Nirantar’ has also been launched for knowledge sharing to accomplish the above objectives and exchange expertise with others in the field through this window.
