CHENNAI: Malayalam playwright K.T. Mohammed's `Ithu Bhumiyanu', an important work in Kerala's theatre movement, is set to come alive in front of an audience in Chennai this week. The Madras Keraleeya Samajam is hosting the play on its premises on Saturday, as part of the 50th anniversary celebration of the work.
The play, directed by Chennai-based dramatist Preman Melady, is being staged in Chennai for the first time. "This is the first step towards setting up a K.T. theatre group in Chennai," said Mr. Melady.
