MADURAI: The Southern Railway will operate a special train from Madurai to Chennai on Sunday, June 22, to clear passenger rush.
According to a Southern Railway press release, 0632 Madurai-Chennai Egmore special will leave Madurai at 11.55 p.m. and reach Chennai at 10.30 a.m., the next day. It will have one first air-conditioned-cum-air-conditioned two-tier coach, one air-conditioned two-tier coach, one air-conditioned three-tier coach, 8 sleeper class coaches, 5 general second class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches.
The train will stop at Dindigul, Tiruchi, Vridhachalam, Villupuram, Tindivanam, Melmaruvathur, Chengalpattu, Tambaram and Mambalam.
The 0603 Chennai Egmore-Madurai special will leave Chennai Egmore at 11.15 p.m. on July 3 and reach Madurai at 9.30 a.m., the next day.
The 0613 Chennai Egmore-Nagercoil special will leave Chennai Egmore at 11.15 p.m. on June 29 and reach Nagercoil at 2.15 p.m., the next day. It will have one AC 2-tier coach, one AC 3-tier coach, 14 sleeper class coaches, 3 general second class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches. It will halt at Tambaram, Chengalpattu, Melmaruvathur, Tindivanam, Villupuram, Vridhachalam, Tiruchi, Dindigul, Kodaikanal Road, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Sattur, Kovilpatti, Vanchi Maniyachi, Tirunelveli and Valliyur.
The 0611 Chennai Egmore-Nagercoil special will leave Chennai Egmore on July 2 at 11.15 p.m. and reach Nagercoil at 2.15 p.m., the next day.
