Three additional Judges of the Madras High Court have been made permanent Judges. The Central Government has issued a notification making Justices R. Mala, Aruna Jagadeesan and G.M. Akbar Ali as permanent Judges. With their inclusion, the number of permanent Judges in the court had gone up to 42, an official said.

At present, the High Court has 50 Judges against the sanctioned strength of 60. — Special Correspondent
