No power cut at exam centres between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

In view of the board examinations between March 1 and April 12, Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited (TANGEDCO) has announced that there would be no load shedding at the examination centres between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

A release from T. Kannan, Superintending Engineer, Salem Electricity Distribution Circle, said that uninterrupted power supply would be ensured during the exam hours and load shedding has been revised in other areas.

Load shedding would be in place from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the following areas: Ammapet, Achankuttapatti, Selliyampalayam, Industrial, Suramangalam, Sengaradu, Urban 1, Magudanchavadi, Seelanaickenpatti, Bazaar, K.K. Nagar, Four Roads, Yercaud, Hasthampatti, Ammapalayam, Mallamoopanpatti and M.P. Kovil, from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. in Chinnkavundapuram, Mangalapuram, Urban 2, 3, Alagapuram, Anaimedu, Four Roads, Engineering College, Karuppur, P.N. Palayam, Attur Urban, Industrial, Panamarathupatti, Poimankaradu, R. Pudur, Kalarampatti and Bodinaikenpatti.

Load shedding in other areas between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.: Mill, Tharamangalam, Kondalampatti, Dadagapatti, Dasanaickanpatti, Kannankurichi, Malaiaruvi, Pillukuttai, Gugai, Town Railway Station, Pappampadi, Gandhinagar, Sidarkovil, Elampillai, Seerangapadi, Vembadithalam, Muthampatti, Kandampatti, Dalmiya, Five Roads, Hitech, Gorimedu, Mill and Thottivalasu.

A release from Mettur Electricity Distribution Circle, Mettur Dam said that power shutdown timings have been revised and consumers can get to know the same from the local sub-stations.
