SVGV Matriculation School in Karamadai is gearing up for a world record event, wherein a largest portrait of Thiruvalluvar will be created using pots on January 16, marking the Thiruvalluvar Day.

A release from the school said that as many as 1,330 students, coinciding with the 1,330 couplets in Thirukkural, would stack the pots together to make the portrait. The pot portrait had been planned to reach a height of 133 ft using 4,000 pots and each student would write a Thirukkural on three pots.

Elite World Records, Asian Records Academy in Singapore, India Records Academy in Mumbai and Tamil Book of Records in Chennai would be the world record adjudicators to be present at the venue.
