TIRUNELVELI: A total of 33 students, including 25 girls, who scored high marks in the district in Secondary School Leaving Certificate results, received laptops from the Minister for Environment, Sports and Youth Welfare, T.P.M. Maideen Khan, here on Tuesday to celebrate the birth anniversary of K. Kamaraj as ‘Education Development Day’.

The Project Officer, District Rural Development Agency, F. Abdul Razick, the Tirunelveli MP, R. Dhanushkodi Adityan, the Tirunelveli MLA, N. Maalairaja, the chairman of Palayamkottai Zone, Suba. Seetharaman, and the Headmaster of St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Y.S. Yagu, felicitated.

The Chief Educational Officer, K. Narayanasamy, welcomed the gathering and the District Educational Officer, T. Rajkumar, proposed a vote of thanks.
