KV student wins painting competition

Arpit Gupta of Class VII from Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1, JIPMER won the Local Organiser (CUCAI) Award at the Mitsubishi Asian Children's Enikki Festival, which is a painting competition supported by UNESCO.

The school also celebrated National Science Day recently. At the event, five eminent scientists and doctors spoke on topics of interest to Class X students. Students presented papers on various topics such as DNA, Management of Plastics, powder metallurgy processes and Higgs Boson.

The talks were followed by an exhibition of working science models from students of Class III upwards.
