The Kovai Medical Center and Hospital (KMCH) is hosting a two-day conference here from Saturday on the basic practice of fertility medicine and assisted reproductive technologies.
Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, KMCH Chairman Nalla G. Palaniswami said that the conference would deliberate on the recent advances in the field with faculty from India and abroad conducting the sessions.
C.K. Kannagi Uthraraj, Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Fertility Medicine, KMCH, said that the conference would also deliberate ways on establishing fertility centres in small towns and rural areas. The recent advances in the field had resulted in ways to find out genetic defects of parents and tackle them to prevent the babies from being born with deformities.
FERTFOCUS 2013 is being organised by Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry chapter of Indian Society of Assisted with KMCH’s Fertility Center and Tamarai Fertility Center, Salem, conducting the proceedings.
