A four-member team of the German development bank KfW visited Tiruchi on Wednesday to inspect various development projects implemented in the city with assistance from the bank recently.

The bank had extended financial assistance to the tune of Rs.24.30 crore to the Tiruchi Corporation under the Tamil Nadu Urban Development Project. About 42 works, including several road laying works, were executed. The Thillai Nagar Main Road, the VII and X Cross Roads in Thillai Nagar and the Birds Road were among the roads that were widened and re-laid under the project.

The team including Erwin Czyrka, Technical Adviser, and Anirban Kundu, Project Manager, KfW, inspected the roads. They were accompanied by Venkatachalam, SE, Municipal Administration. The team also held a review meeting with K.Veera Raghava Rao, Corporation Commissioner.
