Karunanidhi campaigns in Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri

Chief Minister and DMK leader M. Karunanidhi addressed wayside meetings in Krishnagiri and Dharmapuri districts on Saturday.

Mr. Karunanidhi reached Thoppur at around 11 a.m. after addressing a wayside meeting at Omalur in Salem district.

He addressed thousands of cadres of DMK and its alliance parties for about five minutes at Thoppur village before leaving for Dharmapuri.

In Dharmapuri, Mr. Karunandhi addressed wayside meetings at Kundalpatti Koot Road, where the former Information Minister and DMK candidate for Pappireddipatti Assembly constituency Mr. V. Mullaivendan welcomed him.

On the way to Krishnagiri, the Chief Minister was given a rousing welcome by party activists led by T. Senguttuvan, MLA and DMK candidate for Veppanahalli Assembly constituency at Karimangalam Koot Road and at Sappanipatti.

The Chief Minister spoke in support of six candidates fielded by the DMK alliance in Krishnagiri district at Bargur By-pass road. T. Senguttuvan (DMK), Veppanahalli; K. Gopinath (Congress), Hosur; T.K. Raja (PMK), Bargur; Y. Prakash (DMK), Thalli; and Muniammal Kaniamuthan (VCK), Uthangarai were present at the venue.
