THANJAVUR: Thanjavur police arrested four persons in connection with house robbery cases in various places in Thanjavur and recovered from them 37 sovereigns of gold jewellery worth Rs. 5 lakh.

The arrested persons were Dharman alias Dharmaraj son of Thulukkan, Raja (35) son of Govindan, Kaliyappan, son of Angalan and Suresh, son of Vellaimoonjan, all belonging to Manojipatti. K.A.Senthilvelan, Superintendent of police, Thanjavur district, congratulated the special team of police which arrested them. The team was led by Thamizhselvan, Inspector of police, Thanjavur south police station, and Subash, Inspector of police, Naducauvery police station. The looted properties were related to nine cases registered by the police..
