Another 100 acre to be developed
The first phase development of Gangaikondan Information Technology Special Economic Zone, being developed by Electronics Corporation of Tamil Nadu on 100 acres on an outlay of Rs. 25 crore, is likely to be completed by January 20.
Speaking to reporters at Gangaikondan after inspecting the progress of the project, Managing Director, ELCOT, Santhosh Babu, said the main building was being built with 50,000 square feet at the cost of Rs.15 crore while other infrastructures were being developed on an outlay of Rs.10 crore in the first phase, which would be completed before January 20. Multi-national company Syntelhad come forward to have their offices at the SEZ.
Another 100 acre would be developed in the second phase after the launch of the IT Park, Mr. Santhosh Babu said. ELCOT Manager Chandra was present.
