COIMBATORE: Tamil Nadu Agricultural University is a forerunner in e-learning, by posting all the undergraduate course material on the intranet, enabling easy access to students, facilitating advance preparation and greater interaction inside classrooms, C. Ramasamy, Vice-Chancellor of the university, said here recently.
Inaugurating a five-day training programme on e-learning at the university, he said that e-learning enabled `any time, any place and any pace' learning.
"E-learning will enable a university to transform into a `multiversity'. It requires to be institutionalised to become successful," Prof. Ramasamy added.
K. Vanangamudi, Dean (Agriculture), TNAU, said that so far 128 scientists of the university had been trained in educational technology during the past year. Similar efforts would continue.
