Isha Outreach, the social development branch of Isha Foundation, is organising its annual residential Summer Camp for Government school children from April 30 to May 2.

Being held at the Isha Vidya School in Thondamuthur, around 100 children are being given training in arts, crafts, yoga, chess and cultural programmes.

Skills

According to a press release, the camp is a part of Isha Outreach’s Government School Adoption Program (GSAP), intended to help children explore their latent skills, provide an opportunity to live in peer groups and develop social skills. The camp helps children develop vocational skills and explore their interests beyond the existing school curriculum.

Adopted

Isha Foundation has adopted 31 Government schools in Dharmapuri, Salem and Coimbatore districts in Tamil Nadu.

Isha Foundation seeks to improve the quality of education in these schools, which will benefit about 28,000 students.
