CHENNAI: Deputy Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Monday launched Indian Overseas Bank mobile ATM service.

S.A. Bhat, IOB Chairman and Managing Director, said the service was meant to serve the Bank’s customers in north Chennai where the number of stationary ATM outlets was less. Depending upon the response, the service would be improved. T. Thenappan, IOB General Manager of Chennai Region-1, said of the 71 ATMs in the city, 20 ATMs were in north Chennai. There would be an armed guard for the mobile ATM outlet, which would be insured too. It would be available in Royapuram (near St. Theresa School), Washermenpet (NPL Agasthaya apartment), Parrys’ Corner (Madras High Court), Vyasarpadi (TNEB office in Kannadasan Nagar) and Wall Tax Road (Rettapailliar Koil Street).
