The State government has extended the coverage of the “Chief Minister's Insurance Scheme” to freedom fighters, former District Munsiffs and serving/retired employees of transport corporation and milk cooperative societies who are getting an annual income/pension of Rs.72,000 or less.

Orders to this effect had been issued, according to an official press release. Those intending to become beneficiaries under the scheme can register themselves at the kiosks to be put up by Star Health and Allied Insurance from August 1 to September 30, the release said. — Special Correspondent
