Gold coin sale at post offices
The Department of Posts will sell gold coins with discount in prices till November 30.
According to a release, the discount starts at five per cent and goes up to seven per cent, depending on the denomination of the coin. Coins are available in
0.5 gm, five gm, eight gm, 10 gm, 20 gm, and 50 gm denominations. The gold coins are sold at Coimbatore Head Post Office, RS Puram Head Post Office and post offices at Podanur, Redfields, NGGO Colony, Ganapathy, Lawley Road, Ramnagar, Coimbatore Central, Sri Ramakrishna Vidhyalaya and Peelamedu.
The Department of Posts will conduct a district-level philatelic exhibition - Kovaipex 2011- from November 24 at Techno Park, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University.

They should apply in a prescribed format available with the prospectus.
The prospectus is priced at Rs. 25 and is available at all Head Post Offices in the district.
