The Pavement Vendors' Association has urged the Coimbatore Corporation to disclose its stand on the implementation of the National Policy for Urban Street Vendors.

In a release, the association asked why the Corporation, which took several steps towards the implementation of the policy, was dilly-dallying on the issue now. It urges the councillors to work for their welfare. The association has also asked the civic body to allot alternative place for vendors on Nanjappa Road and at Sunday Market to carry on their trade.
