Vadivelu (68) has sought the aid of the Madurai District Legal Services Authority to settle a case he has been pursuing for a year and a half.

His son V. Gnanasubramani had registered his name in the employment exchange 27 years ago. “My son is 46 years old now and he has not got an interview call so far. The advocate I approached received Rs.6,000 from me and did not do anything. I want my money back,” he told the mediation panel at the Legal Services Authority.

The mediation panel is trying to resolve the issue by asking the advocate to refund the money, failing which the case will be referred to the court.
