TIRUCHI: The Communist Party of India (Marxist) and Communist Party of India would conduct a joint and intensive campaign against the Indo-US nuclear deal in the district from August 1 to 7 in about 100 centres in Tiruchi district.

A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting of district leaders of the two parties held here on Thursday.

On August 14, cadres of the two parties would form a human chain in the city. A public meeting would be here held on August 11 to explain the Left stand on the nuclear deal and the anti-people policies of the Centre. CPI (M) State secretary N.Varadharajan and CPI’s senior leader R.Nallakannu would address the meeting.
