: Over 100 activists of the Hindu Maha Sabha were arrested as they took out a protest rally without police permission here on Friday.

The protestors said that educational assistance should be extended to the poor Hindu students also as being given to the students from minority community and Hindi should be taught in schools as one of the languages.

“Pressing these demands, we've planned to organise a bike rally from Nagercoil to Chennai, where a massive procession will be taken out by the HMS on November 28. As the police did not give us permission, we were arrested,” said state president of HMS Balasubramanian.
