A row over who should take the centre place under when it rained

led to the murder

CHENNAI: An argument over occupying space for sleeping under a bus shelter led to a murder in T. Nagar on Monday.

Police said the body of a 45-year-old man with a head injury was found in the shelter early on Monday.

The victim was identified as P.Selvam of Tambaram.

A special team formed to investigate the case arrested S.Mariappan (37) of Tuticorin, who confessed to having committed the murder.

He told police that an argument over who should take the centre place under the shelter when it rained led to the murder.

The accused was produced in a city court and remanded to judicial custody.
