A 27-year-old woman has lodged a complaint against three persons, including her husband and mother-in-law, at the All Women Police Station, Tirupattur.

According to police, Bhuvaneshwari, a resident of Anumanthagoundar Street, S. Kodiyur at Jolarpet, was married to Rajesh (29). In her complaint, she said Rajesh quarrelled with her often and beat her up. On January 6, he assaulted her and said that he recently married a woman from Karnataka. His mother Rani and uncle Raja had arranged the marriage. Rajesh, Rani and Raja threatened Bhuvaneshwari that they would kill her and her 11-month-old daughter, if she revealed about Rajesh's second marriage to anyone. Bhuvaneshwari lodged a complaint and a case was registered against the three persons. The accused are yet to be arrested, police said.
