CHENNAI: Printed and embroidery churidars in the latest designs with unique colour combinations under the banner ‘Yuva Collections’ are now on sale at Cooptex’s Aadi Peruku Exhibition.

The exhibition was inaugurated recently at Thillaiyadi Valliammai Complex in Egmore.

For the first time, Madurai Chungudi design churidars is on display. Cooptex has introduced readymade shirts in solids, checks, stripes and self designs to meet the expectations of today’s youths.

With the aim of offering traditional handloom saris at a reasonable price, Cooptex has produced cotton and polyester blended saris, which are now on sale at the exhibition.

Another new collection that has been put on display is the mercerised cotton sari collection from Coimbatore, which do not require the application of starch to maintain its elegant look.

In addition to the above, new collections of saris in attractive designs and excellent colour combinations produced in the traditional handloom centres of Tamil Nadu such as Madurai, Salem, Sirumugai, Vanavasi and Jayankondan are also available at the exhibition, which is open till August 15, according to a Cooptex press release.
