The Erode Civil Engineers Trust and Erode Idhayam Narpani Iyakkam Trust handed over welfare assistance to the tune of Rs. 2 lakh to the tribal people living in different parts of Talamalai hills.

The assistance included bed sheets, dhotis, plates, tumblers and plastic pots to over 300 families. MLAs N.K.K.P Raja and L.P. Dharmalingam distributed the welfare assistance to the beneficiaries.

A free medical camp was also conducted for the people living in the remote villages. A team of doctors also conducted the camp and screened the visitors for various diseases. Erode Civil Engineers Trust President K.P. Duraisamy presided.
