THANJAVUR: Members of AITUC observed a fast here on Tuesday protesting against what they alleged the anti-labour attitude of both Central and State Governments.

N. Santhanam, district vice president of the AITUC, led the fast. C. Chandrakumar, district secretary of AITUC, T. Mathivanan, secretary, Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation Employees’ Union and K. Nadarajan, district secretary of National Federation of Telecom Employees, participated. They appealed to the Governments to contain price rise, streamlining the membership registration, renewal for various welfare boards, to desist from privatisation of public sectors.
