A large number of devotees offered worship to Sri Bikhshandar and His Consort on the occasion of “Vaikasi” car festival on Thursday.

The festival commenced on May 17 with the conventional hoisting of holy flag at the temple.

Elaborate arrangements were made by the temple authorities for regulating the large number of devotees as the car festival fell on a Thursday. “Every Thursday, a large number of devotees offer their worship at this temple and, obviously, it was more than usual,” according to sources. N. Chandrasekaran, Executive Officer of the temple, supervised the arrangements for the festival.
