COIMBATORE: "Young minds are very important to a society as any future progress depends on them," D. Jayavardhanavelu, chairman, LMW, said at the Silver Jubilee celebration of Shri G.N.Sam Matriculation Higher Secondary School, here recently.

Good schools provided the basis for structured thinking and made young minds think more, he said. A good school should not only impart contemporary knowledge but also teach its students the importance of having a healthy mind and body, he added. Societies progressed only with the support from a good education system. The Indian society had always developed techniques to sharpen and make the best use of the human mind, Mr.Jayavardhanavelu said.

The school had organised a district level South Zone sports meet, which was attended by more than 60 schools as part of its Silver Jubilee celebrations.
