COIMBATORE: CMS College of Science and Commerce and Organisation for Industrial Spiritual and Cultural Advancement (Oisca), South Indian Chapter, will organise a Global Youth Summit from December 8 to 10.
The theme of the summit will be "Nurture Nature for the Future." Around 400 participants from various parts of the world are expected to take part.
Water resource management, conservation of biodiversity, pollution, solid waste management, global warming, climatic change and ozone depletion will be some of the issues to be discussed at the summit.
"It will be a platform for youth especially between the age group of 17 and 35 to understand major environmental issues and participate actively in the discussion," said K.T.Varkey, Principal, CMS College of Science and Commerce.
With the development of technology came unscientific exploitation of natural resources.
This has even led to the extinction of certain species from the face of the earth. For registration to participate in the summit, contact: K.T Varkey, Principal, CMS College of Science and Commerce at 2666465 or 9994369189 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
