“There is a great deal of public dissatisfaction in the State”
“Our party’s alliance is strong enough with the Almighty and people of Tamil Nadu”
Tuticorin: There was a great deal of public dissatisfaction in the State as both the DMK and AIADMK had failed to address public grievances during their tenure of office, said Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam leader Vijaykant at Seidhunganallur in the district on Sunday.
Kick-starting his campaign in the district to garner votes for his party’s Tuticorin constituency candidate M.S. Sundar, Mr. Vijaykant said that, “Our party’s alliance is strong enough with the Almighty and people of Tamil Nadu and I believe in them. Nobody can deny our victory.”
He appealed to the people to offer an opportunity to represent the needs of people by making the party’s maiden entry into the Parliament.
The AIADMK was solely responsible for illegal sand quarrying in Tamiraparani river and problems arising out of TASMAC, Mr. Vijaykant said.
He exuded confidence that the party would reduce the burden of farmers by waiving bank loans.
The electioneering started at Seidunganallur in the district and proceeded through Azhwarthirunagari, Udangudi, Periyathalai, Manappad, Tiruchendur, Kayalpattinam, Arumuganeri and concluded at Threspuram.
