: J. Carolin Cynthia, S. Mamta Shiv Dharshini and S.A. Selva Revathy from Tuticorin took part in the State-level women’s swimming meet held at Velachery Aquatic Complex, Chennai, from January 17 to 19 for the Chief Minister trophy.
While Carolin Cynthia won the silver medal in the 50m butterfly event, S. Mamta Shiv Dharshini won the silver medal in the 50m breaststroke event. They were given a cash award of Rs.75,000 each.
S.A. Selva Revathy won bronze medal in 50m freestyle event and was awarded a cash award of Rs.25,000. Collector Ashish Kumar honoured them and their coach S. Rajesh who trained them here in the SDAT swimming pool at Tharavai stadium.
