The Department of Commerce and Financial Studies, Bharathidasan University, organised MIST–2013, a national-level management meet for MBA students from various colleges and universities on Wednesday and Thursday, to tap the creative and innovative skills of MBA students.

G. Archunan, Professor of Animal Science, Bharathidasan University, inaugurated the event that featured seven events: business quiz, business plan, ad-zap, best manager, paper presentation, corporate show, and variety.

RVS–KVK Institute of Management Studies, Tiruchi, was adjudged the winner and Srimathi Indira Gandhi College, Tiruchi, the runner-up.

Vice Chancellor K. Meena presided over the valedictory session and distributed prizes and certificates to the winners in the presence of M. Selvam, Professor and Head, Department of Commerce and Financial Studies.

Simulation exercise

She spoke of the importance of management games as a simulation exercise to prepare students for new challenges, and develop their competitive spirit and optimistic attitude.
