Collector P. Sankar asked the departmental heads concerned to issue memos to four persons - a teacher, a sanitary inspector, an anganwadi organiser and a nutritious meal centre organiser - for dereliction of duty after inspecting special camps held for revision of electoral rolls in various polling stations here on Sunday.

The four persons who were assigned duties at the special camps were found absent .

Mr. Sankar inspected the special camps at Government Muslim Higher Secondary School, Sri Venkateswara Higher Secondary School, Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Katpadi and Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Katpadi and distributed application forms for inclusion of names in the voters’ list.

Similar special camps would be held on October 20 and 27.

The special camps are part of the on-going summary revision of electoral rolls which began on October 1 and would go on daily at all polling stations in Vellore district till October 31.
