Four persons, including a three-year-old girl, were killed in four separate accidents, here on Monday. A 45-year-old man, Venkatesan of Pookaratheru, Velankanni, died after his bike was hit by an Ambassador car.

A seven-year old girl and another man, who were on the pillion, suffered injuries in the accident reported to have occurred at 7 p.m. They were proceeding from Nagapattinam to Keezhvelur.

In another accident, a three-year-old girl was killed after she was hit by a tractor, when she was walking across to her aunt's house at Kadalangudi at Kuthalam. A 55-year-old man died on the spot and his pillion rider was injured after they were hit by another vehicle at Sirkazhi.

In another tragedy, a lorry skid into a canal, killing driver Manoharan of Virudhachalam. The cleaner was injured.
