Four persons, including a woman, were arrested by the Anti-Land Grab Cell of the rural police for preparing forged documents and grabbing 1.69 acre land. D. Senthilkumar of Attayampatti submitted a petition to the Superintendent of Police R. Sakthivel stating that Ezhumalai of Steel Plant had through Power of Attorney transferred 1.69 acre of land in Attayampatti to Arumugam in 1988. His father Dhanabalan had purchased the land from Arumugam. But Ezhumalai, his son Saravanan, daughter Tamilselvi, Ranjithkumar and Latha had prepared forged documents and sold the land to their relative Palanisamy. Based on the inquiry, Ezhumalai, Saravanan, Tamilselvi and Palanisamy were arrested. Latha and Ranjithkumar are at large.
