The second edition of the international conference on computing, communication and network technologies commenced at the Chettinad College of Engineering and Technology at Puliyur near here on Thursday.

Speakers focused on the growing importance of networks in computing and the need to assess the frontier technologies for easier computing purposes.

Prof Thomas H Lee of Stanford University, the United States, inaugurated the conference. Vice-Chairman, Chettinad College of Engineering and Technology, presided over the inaugural in the presence Daping Chu of Cambridge University, S. Sitharama Iyengar of the Louisiana State University, Bill P. Buckles, Xiaohui Yuan and Kamesh Namaduri, all from the North Texas University and Bella Bose of the Oregon State Univeristy.

Principal A.. P. Kabilan welcomed the gathering and Secretary of the College A..Subramanian proposed a vote of thanks.

Nearly 750 new research papers were received from India and abroad while a total of 250 among them have been selected for presentation. During the three days of deliberations over 30 international professors and researchers would chair sessions.

All the selected papers will be sent to the prestigious and internationally reputed IEEE for publication.
