Even as the ‘Courtallam season’ is about to come to an end without making any impact this year due to southwest monsoon failure, the Five Falls experienced flood for a while on Friday. Following intermittent drizzle in the Western Ghats, the Five Falls received huge influx of water around 10 a.m., forcing the police to prevent the tourists from taking bath in the falls.

However the flood subsided within a couple of hours as the drizzle vanished.
Though the Main Falls also experienced heavy inflow, the tourists were allowed to take bath at safer points.
Thanks to the drizzle, the Tiger Falls and the Old Falls also witnessed decent flow on Friday, much to the jubilation of the traders and the tourists.
