Employees resolved to achieve better productivity during BHEL Day celebrations at the public sector undertaking’s Plant Piping Unit (PPPU) at Thirumayam in Pudukottai district recently.

Hoisting the BHEL flag, S.Gopinath, Executive Director, PPPU, Thirumayam, focused on meeting customer satisfaction by meeting requirements including delivery schedule and quality. BHEL, he emphasised, has to provide high-quality products and services, meet delivery schedule, and keep prices competitive in a sustainable manner.

Mr.Gopinath appreciated the hard work put in by employees at PPPU to meet expectations of stake holders and called for their increased participation in acquiring patent rights. He honoured 13 employees who had contributed for improving productivity with merit certificates. BHEL Day celebration helps all to refocus on vision, mission, and values of the company, Mr.Gopinath said.

The pledge was administered to employees in Tamil, English, and Hindi by A.Andrew, Additional General Manager; A.Padmanaban, Deputy General Manager; and Sumit Shukla, Engineer, respectively. In his welcome address, V.Ravindran, General Manager, PPPU, said the event envisages fostering of unity among employees and establishing a common platform or exchanging ideas, culture, and practices followed by BHEL’s various units. R.Lawrence, Senior Deputy General Manager–Human Resource, spoke.
