Five arrested in Sirkazhi, robbery case solved

Five persons allegedly involved in four robbery cases in Sirkazhi were arrested here on Wednesday.

Suresh (35) and Selvakumar (28) were arrested in connection with two robberies involving 20 sovereigns at Naikan Kuppam early this month and 17 sovereigns were recovered.

In another case, the police arrested Anbumani (36), Ramesh (32), and Karthikeyan (32) for robberies involving over 125 sovereigns of gold in Thiruvengadu. However, the police had seized only about 24 sovereigns from the arrested.
