Fire broke out in the District Livestock Farm in Mathigiri in Hosur on Saturday. According to farm authorities, the fire gutted bamboo and other vegetation cultivated in over one acre land. Two fire engines from the Fire and Rescue Services Department in Hosur doused the fire in an hour and prevented it from spreading to other areas. On the basis of a complaint lodged by the Raja, Deputy Director of the District Livestock Farm, Mathigiri police have registered a case and are investigating. The livestock farm was established in 1824 by the British government.
