Kodai FM promises to break visual medium's hold
MADURAI: Film review shows have so far dominated largely the visual medium by their ability to show movie clippings that capture the attention of viewers.
`Thiraipada Kannottam,' a film review show aired by Kodai FM of All India Radio every Wednesday at 11 a.m., promises to break the visual medium's hold over film reviews.
Some latest reviews made in the programme include that of the films Uyir and Imsai Arasan 23am Pulikesi.
An aspect that sets this half-an-hour-show apart from others is that the content provider himself mimics the dialogue from important scenes of the film.
Viewers, who are used to seeing the same clippings again and again in television channels, will find this approach refreshing.
The review is performed by N. Nava Sathishkumar of SK Productions, which is producing the show from Madurai, and female voices are used as and when required. The show brings out the storyline and also discusses the film's music.
Further, when controversial films are reviewed, the producer or director or one of the actors in the film is invited to the show to explain his/her point of view on sticky issues surrounding the film.
