PG Teachers’ Association to approach court soon
TIRUNELVELI: Members of the Tamil Nadu Post Graduate Teachers’ Association staged a demonstration here on Thursday in protest against the filling up of vacancies, which they alleged, was not conducted in a transparent manner.
The teachers said that though the government had upgraded the high schools at Kuttam, Pazhavoor, Munneerpallam, Mullikulam, Kasidharmam and Veeraanam into higher secondary schools during the current academic year and sanctioned each five PG posts to these schools (totally 30 posts), only one vacancy was shown in today’s counselling for transfer.
The teachers alleged that though the district had nine PG Physics vacancies, it was not shown in the ‘transfer counselling list’.
Tamil Nadu Post Graduate Teachers’ Association Tirunelveli district secretary S. Sethuraj said that they would approach the court soon in this connection.
