The Federation of Tamilnadu Nursery, Primary, Matriculation and Higher Secondary School Managements' Association wants the Private Schools Fee Determination Committee to not impose any fee structure on primary schools with less students.

Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, D. Christdas, president of the Association, said many primary and matriculation schools in the State were being run with very little strength. If they were to abide by the fee structure set by the Committee, such schools would have to close down.

The Association also wanted the issue of elite schools charging excess fee addressed separately, rather than taxing all the institutions with a fee structure. — Staff Reporter
