CUDDALORE: Members of Tamil Nadu Farmers’ Association and All India Agricultural Workers’ Union courted arrest at several places in Cuddalore and Villupuram districts, defying a police ban on taking out processions in main thoroughfares and staging dharnas near government departments.

They alleged that the association and the union had submitted petitions to the government seeking house site pattas and land for the landless farmers, but in vain.
